The host family is very kind and nice!
The food are also really authentic, especially Chinese, Korean and Japanese. Reasonable price with great quality! We ordered pepper beef and fried rice and they taste like home! Really recommend to tourists! -

I was told to leave my pretentious foodie notions at home before coming to Barrow, since restaurants here will be expensive but no frills. That said, we were perfectly satisfied with our meal here.
We were told by our B&B host that this was our best bet for lunch in town--because the food is decent and it was a short walk away. We had the place to ourselves and took a long time deciding what to order from the various options (pizza, Chinese, Korean, assorted American) and settled on Buffalo Wings, Fries, and a French Dip. It was expensive, but decent. Sides were ludicrously expensive though, I suggest not asking for ranch with your pizza unless you're cool with spending $6 for it. The wings were a little small and squishy, but tasted fine. Service was friendly and food was satisfying. Restaurant was clean. With the limited options in town, you really can't top that! -

The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is because of the price of additional items. 12 bucks for a "side" of kim chee?! Or a pizza with additional toppings can turn out to 40-50 bucks.
Great food though. Consistent. I remember having the same pizza and sandwiches 15 years ago.
A few good originals are the pastrami sub, CLUBHOUSE SANDWICH, Mexican sandwich (similar to clubhouse but with eggs and jalapeños), Bulgogi (great with the $12 extra kimchee) and appetizer platter.
Enjoy -

We had a BLT with fries and kung Pao chicken, which came with egg drop soup and rice.
The BLT was pretty standard, fries were good. Tomato not great (obviously.)
Kung Pao was perfectly spicy. A little saucy but overall really yummy.
The service was quick and very friendly.
With a ginger ale, our bill was $42. -

The best Italian-American-Korean-Japanese-Chinese fusion restaurant north of the Arctic Circle!!
My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant. My little sister is a vegetarian and we were somewhat concerned when we first got the menu, but she ended up getting a veggie pizza. We all agreed that the crust was really great; thick but not too chewy and really tasty. It had great balance with all of the ingredients. Italian? Check.
Next, we had a Chinese beef dish (possible beef with broccoli but don't hold me to that) that came with white rice. It had really great flavor, though the quality of the meat wasn't peak. But you're on the Arctic Ocean so I don't think you're supposed to have access to beef at all.
Finally, chicken bulgogi. Definitely the highlight, definitely the best bulgogi I've ever had. So much flavor and SO. SO. SPICY. Asian restaurants tend to underestimate my spice capabilities due to my distinct lack of melanin (I totally understand why they do this, I just wish they didn't have to). Well, I felt like part of the Northern Lights family with this dish. My sister, my dad, and I were all scraping every last bit of this up that we could, alternating with rice and corners of pizza crust and massive quantities of water to cool off. There was probably somebody laughing at us, panting and sweating and basically breathing fire but unable to stop eating the painful food because it was soooooooooooo good.
Next time you're in Barrow, definitely head to Northern Lights and order the chicken bulgogi, but be prepared to run and dunk your face into the Arctic Ocean to cool off--then run right back to the restaurant for more!
